Homeowner reviews

rating  Good results, but very difficult time getting there., by Howard

Services provided: lighting | Services completed: 7/2013

The contractor has verified this job: No

Homeowner comments: It appears that AEC does not yet have sufficient experience in lighting upgrades to provide a smooth work flow. Many many iterations were necessary before the work ever started in order for them to figure out what could be done, what kinds of fixtures would work, etc. Many occasions where they proposed something that the electrical contractor doing the actual work would tell them it wouldn't work, so they had to figure out something different. Whole project took 9-10 months from initial proposal to complete work. Should have only taken about 3. Results were finally OK, but the process was torture.

rating  Kuyper Household Energy Saving, by Larry Kuyper

Services provided: air sealing, insulation, duct sealing, energy audit, windows | Services completed: 9/2011

The contractor has verified this job: Yes

Homeowner comments: In an effort to insure that the contractor and ourselves were comfortable with the work to be done, it seemed we took a lot of time in the planning process which at times was frustrating. Having said that, once the work started the contractor did a phenomenal professional job. This included keeping us informed in what they were doing and why to always cleaning up behind themselves to the point you would not have known they were here.
