I left the workers alone in my home for about 4 hours, when I returned they were still hard at work. There was a little snag in the clean up process, but the contractor is a man of integrity. He went beyond the call a regular contractor would have gone. I was really impressed with DRO, I would highly recommend DRO Enterprises to perform work on your home. Followed her recommendation for contractor (DRO Enterprises) and established an energy improvement work scope. DRO performed the work to my complete satisfaction. They were pleasant to work with and professional. Pascale, who is an independent auditor, performed the close-out audit and everybody was happy. The attic is not properly insulated and leaks around the house wwre sealed. The temperature difference between upper and lower floor is less than before (about half) and we are expecting reduced gas and electricity bills. |

They also went through the house and sealed up spaces under sinks and between walls in the laundry room. They put insulation around the front door. They put barrier doors for extra insulation in the attic and crawl space. Everything was done with a great attitude and a professional and efficient manner. The owner of the company was on hand for each days work to make sure everthing was going well, which it was. I was very pleased with the way this company performed and they way my house has been more comfortable since the improvements have been put in place. |

There was a little bit of a wait to have the work performed, and get the results/paperwork, but that had to do with the increased seasonal demand as well as our schedule. They performed very good work insulating our attics, including ceiling recessed light fixtures and weatherizing the attic "doors." They also foam-sealed the rim joists in our sub-basement. There was an immediate difference in how well our house stayed warm. With the hot weather, it stays cooler longer and our a/c doe s not cycle on/off as much as others in our neighborhood. The first 2 claimed to be large, full service companies and added "heat mirror" @ $1.25 to $1.50 a SF to the estimate for the attic in addition to the r-38 cellulous insulation. They didn't know about the MEA rebate program, they didn't offer any information about the availabilty of PEPCO rebates, they didn't have blower door tests, they would not insulate the rim joists and walls in my crawl space, etc. AND I would have to sign the proposal that evening to get the price quoted. Both were over $6,000. Then Bill Smith showed up. We talked for about an hour, he brought up the MEA and PEPCO rebates on his own then explained the contractor need to be registered (the other two were not when I checked your web site), the requirement for the blower door testing and retesting at the end, and that he'd send the proposal over the next afternoon saying "he wouldn't be the cheapest but he'd do a |
